Based on the banks of the River Alde estuary, our accommodation - River Cottage - is one mile downstream of the famous Snape Maltings concert hall, home of the Aldeburgh Festival and four miles upstream of the delightful seaside town of Aldeburgh.

The cottage affords one of the best views in East Anglia over looking the estuary as it winds its way in from the Suffolk coast, past historic Iken church and on up to Snape bridge. At low tide, bird life is in abundance including avocet and other wading birds, while at high tide dingy sailing and swimming can take place in the summer months.
